Ingredients:
-
1 Small Yellow Onion
-
4 Ounces White Mushrooms
-
2 Ounces Ground Beef
-
2 Teaspoons Flour
-
1/2th Cup Beef Broth
-
1/2th Cup Heavy Cream
-
Juice of a Lemon
-
Salt
-
Pepper
-
Fresh Parsley
Notes: So. I had taken a benadryl when I went shopping for this dish and actually couldn’t remember what I needed to make beef stroganoff other than beef. The only reason I bought beef was because it was in the name. Needless to say, what kind of beef was totally lost on me. So I bought grounds.
Steps:
-
Cut the onion into thin strips and cook until translucent.
-
While the onions are cooking, cut mushrooms into strips.
-
Saute mushrooms until cooked. Season liberally with salt and pepper.
-
Transfer cooked mushrooms and onions to plate.
-
Cook beef until no pink remains. Season.
-
Add flour and cook until flour is no longer visibly white.
-
Add onions and mushrooms back.
-
Add beef broth and heavy cream.
-
Cook until reduced and the resulting sauce is heavy.
-
Add lemon and stir.
-
Serve with fresh parsley and starchy side.
